PWR Custom Build — 90-Day Limited Warranty

Purple Walrus LLC, doing business as Purple Walrus Retro (PWR), Sarasota, Florida, provides this limited warranty for custom Game Boy DMG, Game Boy Pocket, and Game Boy Advance builds purchased directly from PWR.

Coverage: For 90 days from delivery, your completed build is covered against defects in parts and workmanship under normal use. This includes the refurbished original hardware and components installed as part of your build.

What we’ll do: PWR will inspect and repair a covered defect at no charge for parts or labor. If we cannot resolve the covered problem through repair within a reasonable time, we will offer a comparable replacement or a refund of the build’s purchase price. Contact us before sending your handheld.

What isn’t covered: Accidental damage, liquid damage, misuse, normal wear, normal battery-capacity loss, cosmetic differences disclosed before purchase, and damage caused by incompatible accessories or later repairs or modifications. Damage caused by opening, disassembling, repairing, or modifying the console is not covered. Examples include torn ribbon cables, broken connectors, damaged solder joints, stripped screws, and electrical damage caused during that work. Opening the console alone does not cancel coverage for an unrelated defect.

Warranty shipping: For a covered warranty repair, you pay shipping to PWR and PWR pays shipping back to you, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Items that arrive faulty, damaged, or incorrect are handled under our Refund Policy and its shipping terms.

False claims and refund deductions: If inspection and supporting evidence establish that a damage or defect claim was knowingly false, reasonable, itemized restocking and refurbishment costs may be deducted from any discretionary refund, only where permitted by law. Deductions are limited to actual costs or documented loss in value, without duplicate charges. We’ll explain our findings and proposed deductions before processing the refund. A fault we cannot reproduce does not, by itself, establish fraud. No such fees apply to valid covered claims or refunds required by law.

How to request service: Email purplewalrusretro@gmail.com within the 90-day period with your order number, a description of the problem, and photos or video if available. We’ll provide troubleshooting help and return instructions. Please pack the handheld securely and keep your shipping receipt.

This is PWR’s own limited warranty, not a Nintendo or third-party protection plan. It does not limit any statutory consumer rights or remedies. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or by country.
